Greg Scown of Smile joins us to discuss the newest capabilities they have added to their latest release, TextExpander 4. Greg explains the new options for “fill-in-the-blank” snippets, what they do, and why they have just become more powerful and easier to access than before. Greg also addresses the change in TextExpander distribution, why the new version is not available in the Mac App Store, why that doesn’t penalize their existing customers, and how the upgrade works regardless of where you purchased the application.
