In the first of a two-part conversation at with a group of students and faculty from the Academy of Art University in San Francisco, the members of the group introduce themselves and discuss the challenges of keeping their curriculum current in a discipline and a world that is constantly being re-written by technology. That lead to an extended discussion on how they view interaction with the business community in general, and the software industry in particular. Find out how both faculty and students view the approaches used by some companies (notably Adobe), what works and what is doomed to failure. While students and faculty don’t always agree, it is clear that there exists an opportunity for anyone who wants to partner with educational institutions and students to solve some of the challenges the students face, now and in the future.
