MacVoices #737 – MacVoices at Expo: Still Photography in a Video World, Analog vs. Digital Methods and the Artist’s Tools with Academy of Art University Students and Faculty

Jan 30, 2007 | Events, Graphics/Photos, Macworld Expo, Training/Education

The second in our two-part conversation at with a group of students and faculty from the Academy of Art University in San Francisco focuses more on the students and their activities. The group discusses how still photography fits in a video world, the challenges of balancing traditional analog methods with new digital techniques for faculty and student alike, the “dog and pony show” aspect of photography, and how the tools an artist uses can be as much of a statement as the art itself.
