MacVoices #8127: Steve Sande on Why Not To Run Leopard on a PC NetBook

Oct 27, 2008 | Author, Hardware, Software, Tech Topics

Steve Sande
Steve Sande of The Unofficial Apple Weblog wasn’t satisfied with running Mac OS X on his Macs; he just had to try it on a PC netbook. Steve talks about how his wife inspired the project, how he tapped the Twitterverse for help, and what happened when the dust settled. While technically possible, running Leopard on a netbook isn’t a good idea for many reasons, and especially if you want to get any work done. Steve discusses what worked, what didn’t, and why he went back to running Ubuntu Linux on the netbook. If you’re thinking of trying this at home, don’t…or at least not before hearing from Steve.
