Jun 23, 2008 | Author, Graphics/Photos, Print, Software, Training/Education, Web

Jay NelsonDesign and desktop publishing guru Jay Nelson of Design Tools Monthly is back to talk about the new features of QuarkXPress 8. Jay discusses the design changes that make this new version “not your grandfather’s QuarkXPress” and a worthy competitor for the Adobe Creative Suite applications. Features such as support for non-English publishing, inclusion of Flash support and more are examined as Jay covers some of the challenges Quark faces in changing both the reality and perception of their product. Jay comments on Quark’s new direction in supporting education, an upcoming Quark tour, and why, after all this time, design programs still need to be changed, updated, and have new capabilities added.
