MacVoices #958: Joe Kissell Helps You Take Control of The Command Line with Terminal

Mar 26, 2009 | Author, Software, Take Control, Tech Topics

Joe KissellProlific Take Control author Joe Kissell has addressed one of the most challenging parts of Mac use for many in his new Take Control of the Mac Command Line with Terminal. Too many Mac users live in fear of the command line, and are afraid of even launching the Terminal application. All that changes as Joe talks about why you would want to use the Terminal and what can be done there that is either easier or that can’t be done at all in the Finder. Joe employs more than a few cooking metaphors as he discusses why this Take Control book is different from any of his others, how he approaches the subject in a course-like fashion, and the care he’s taken to be certain that you will encounter no problems on your first journey into the power user’s part of the Mac OS.
