Robotics are becoming both more accepted and advanced in a variety of areas, especially companionship for all ages. At CES in Las Vegas, Lisha Qui, Head of International Marketing for Elephant Robotics, showed off some of their robotic pets. metaCat, metaDog, and metaPanda were all on display and the crowed was interacting with the just like real pets. Lisha explains how their deep learning AI training creates realistic head and tail movements, its use of USB charging vs. batteries, and their choice of pet models.
At CES in Las Vegas, Dr. Robert Dick was in the Buddie booth to discuss their project that will bring contact access to ChatGPT via their earbuds. You can imagine how that could change things. Dr. Dick talks about how it will work, privacy issues, and their Kickstarter campaign.
The PLAUD table at ShowStoppers at CES in Las Vegas was tough to get to because of the interested crowds…and it shows in our interview with Elina Tsao, Head of Brand Center. People keep sticking their heads into our shot as Elina explained how their PLAUD NOTE and NotePin capture the audio of your conversations, then transcribes it and even summarizes it via AI. Both feature a generous free package of time, encrypted communication with AI in the cloud, and a very specific activation to help make others around you comfortable with when they are and are not being recorded.
At CES in Las Vegas, we got a taste of barbecue tech at the Brisk It booth. Product Manager Sam Ferguson showed off their newest and most affordable pellet grill, the Zelos 450. What makes it so interesting is their Vera AI that can take care of everything from suggesting recipes to controlling the cooking process, even if you are still on the golf course or just relaxing. Vera can even “look” at a piece of meat and ingredients (via photo) in the grocery store and give you both ideas on how to prepare it as well as how long it will take.
At CES in Las Vegas we first met Aleksander Alski, USA & Canada Country Manager for Vasco at a showcase, then caught up with him at Pepcom to give us an on-camera demo of their translation device that can not only do two-say translations, text and audio, but learns your voice so that what others hear is you, not an artificial voice. Alexander talks about how it accomplishes all that, and when and how you can benefit.
